Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privilege son the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure handling of temporary files in the KTextEditor's kauth_ktexteditor_helper service. A local user can overwrite arbitrary files on the system and escalate privileges via a specially crafted symbolic link.
