Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) handler for private IOCTLs in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows. A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger a NULL pointer dereference error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
