Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the handling of file-copy JSON RPC requests in the web-based management interface. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected device to inject and execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
