Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to untrusted pointer dereference error in SMM (System Management Mode) branch that registers a SWSMI handler. A remote attacker can use this unsafe pointer "ptr" to read or write or manipulate data in the SMRAM
