Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.

The weakness exists due to improper validation of vSMB packet data by Windows Hyper-V on a host server. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted vSMB packet data to escalate privileges on the system.
