Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists in the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) due to incomplete input validation of the SIP packet header. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted malformed SIP packet to the target phone, cause the SIP process to restart and all active phone calls to drop.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.
