The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of filenames ending with .desktop. A remote attacker can trick the victim into downloading a malicious file and execute it on the system.

The vulnerability affects Firefox on Linux only.
