Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation of mailbox data in the SMU. A local user can coerce the SMU to corrupt SMRAM and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
