Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Windows Resilient File System (ReFS). An attacker with physical access can insert a specially crafted USB device and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
