Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient access control in the IOCTL within the driver file "TdkLib64.sys". A local user can send a specially crafted IOCTL request and perform I/O to any hardware port or physical address, resulting in erasing or altering of the firmware.
