Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XXE attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to PDFBox does not properly initialize the XML parsers, which allows context-dependent attackers to conduct XML External Entity (XXE) attacks via a crafted PDF.


Remediation

Update to version 7.0.2 CE GA3.
