Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to DHIES/ECIES CBC mode vulnerable to padding oracle attack. A remote attacker with enough observations can identify when the decryption is failing due to padding.
