Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the i2c_put_adapter() function in drivers/i2c/i2c-core-base.c. A local user can trigger a use-after-free error and crash the kernel.
