Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the Shader functionality within the SVGA virtual device. A malicious guest with non-administrative access to a virtual machine with 3D graphics enabled can trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
