Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read error within the ioapic_read_indirect() function in arch/x86/kvm/ioapic.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
