Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the virtio_i2c_msg_done(), virtio_i2c_prepare_reqs(), virtio_i2c_complete_reqs(), virtio_i2c_xfer() and virtio_i2c_probe() functions in drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-virtio.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
