Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to permissions, privileges, and access controls error within the vmx_set_msr_bitmap(), vmx_refresh_apicv_exec_ctrl() and hardware_setup() functions in arch/x86/kvm/vmx.c. A local user can execute arbitrary code.
