Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) call handling due to incomplete input validation of the SIP packet header. A remote attacker can send a malformed SIP packet to a targeted phone, cause the SIP process unexpectedly to restart and all phone calls to drop.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.
