Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to resource management errors error within the __peek_user(), __poke_user(), __peek_user_compat() and __poke_user_compat() functions in arch/s390/kernel/ptrace.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
