Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to pkg_postinst unnecessarily calls chown to assign root's ownership on files in the live root filesystem. A local user can obtain ownership over arbitrary files on the system.
