Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to unknown error when parsing DNS data. A remote unauthenticated attacker can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to gain complete control over vulnerable device.

Mitigation

The vendor has issued AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.6.7 and 7.7.7 to address this vulnerability.
