Description
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a logic flaw within the kpmcore_externalcommand helper when the service that invokes dbus is not properly checked. A local user can replace /etc/fstab file, execute mount and other partitioning related commands while KDE Partition Manager is running, and gain root privileges on the system.
