Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure inclusion of dynamic libraries (.dll), used by Advantech WebAccess. A remote attacker can place a specially crafted .dll file on a public SMB or WebDav share, trick the victim into opening file with  Advantech WebAccess and execute arbitrary code on the target system with privileges of the current user.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

Mitigation
Update to version 8.2.
