Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate his privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to an error within Microsoft Graphics Component (GDI) implementation when handling objects in memory. A local user can execute arbitrary code on the target system with SYSTEM privileges.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow a local attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor’s website.
