The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to memory leak within ImageMagick 7.0.5-5, the ReadEPTImage function in ept.c. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file and perform a denial of service attack.
