Description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists in the email message filtering feature of Cisco AsyncOS Software for the Cisco Email Security Appliance improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email message with an attachment that contains corrupted fields, consume all available memory and cause the AsyncOS filtering process to crash and restart.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.

The vulnerability is addressed in the following versions: 10.0.2-020, 9.8.1-015.
