Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when handling malicious input. A remote attacker can send a flood of specially crafted data to trigger a flaw in the chan_skinny (SCCP protocol) channel driver, consume excessive virtual memory on the target system and cause the service to stop processing requests. .

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.

The vulnerability is addressed in the following versions: 13.18.3, 14.7.3, 15.1.3.
