Cisco is stopping all business operations in Russia and Belarus after their invasion of Ukraine

Cisco is stopping all business operations in Russia and Belarus after their invasion of Ukraine. This decision was announced by Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco, in a letter sent to employees earlier this week.

“Cisco is stopping all business operations in Russia and Belarus and will continue to focus on supporting our Ukrainian employees, customers and partners while providing humanitarian aid and accelerating our efforts to protect organizations in Ukraine from cyber threats. We stand with Ukraine and condemn this unjustified war.” – Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco.

Cisco stands on guard with its customers in Ukraine, said Cisco in its official blog. The networking and cybersecurity company is directly operating security products seven days a week for critical customers in Ukraine. Moreover, a half a thousand of its employees assist in collecting open-source intelligence.

Cisco also has lifted license restrictions for endpoint protection tools, so organizations in Ukraine can benefit from complete protection regardless of their license status.

Microsoft has also suspended all new sales of products and stopped providing services in Russia. The tech giant has also been aiding Ukrainian IT officials to defend the country against Russian cyberattacks since the invasion.

Cybersecurity Help’s statement on the critical situation in Ukraine

On February 24, people in many cities and towns across Ukraine woke up to the sounds of explosions and artillery fire, as the Russian Federation launched a full-scale invasion of the country. Such actions are unacceptable, the political ambitions of any man aren’t worthy of blood, tears, and destruction of millions of lives. We give our full support to the Ukrainian people in these hard times. No more war!
