1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12984)

CWE-ID: CWE-476 - NULL Pointer Dereference

CVSSv4: 5.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:P/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows an attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the "nfc_genl_deactivate_target()" function in "net/nfc/netlink.c" file. An attacker with physical access to the system can persuade a user to execute an application that omits certain near-field communication (NFC) attributes and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
