Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows an attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the "nfc_genl_deactivate_target()" function in "net/nfc/netlink.c" file. An attacker with physical access to the system can persuade a user to execute an application that omits certain near-field communication (NFC) attributes and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
