CVE-ID: CVE-2016-9011
CWE-ID:
CWE-789 - Uncontrolled Memory Allocation
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists in the wmf_malloc function in api.c due to uncontrolled memory allocation. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted wmf file, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
MitigationUpdate the affected package libwmf to the latest version.

EUVDB-ID: #VU17380
Risk: High
CVSSv3.1: 8.6 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H/E:P/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2019-6978
CWE-ID:
CWE-415 - Double Free
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to double free in the gdImage*Ptr() functions in gd_gif_out.c, gd_jpeg.c, and gd_wbmp.c. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted input, trigger double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationUpdate the affected package libwmf to the latest version.
