This security bulletin contains information about 25 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-22826)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in the nextScaffoldPart() function in xmlparse.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-23437)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop when parsing XML documents. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted XML document, consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.


3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21441)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop within the BN_mod_sqrt() function when processing an ASN.1 certificate that contains elliptic curve public keys in compressed form or explicit elliptic curve parameters with a base point encoded in compressed form. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted certificate to the TLS server or client, consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.


6) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-45960)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
