Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-0450)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the zipfile module does not properly control consumption of internal resources when extracting files from a zip archive. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted archive aka zip-bomb to the application, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51775)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion via large p2c (aka PBES2 Count) value and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-52425)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when parsing large tokens. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

4) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23897)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected application does not disable a feature of its CLI command parser that replaces an "@" character followed by a file path in an argument with the file’s contents. A remote attacker can read arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller file system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
