Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-45803)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to urllib3 does not remove the HTTP request body when redirecting HTTP response using status codes 301, 302, or 303, after the request had its method changed from one that could accept a request body (e.g. from POST to GET). A remote attacker can gain access to potentially sensitive information.


2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-5752)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when installing a package from a Mercurial VCS URL (ie "pip install hg+...") with pip. A remote attacker who controls the repository can use the specified Mercurial revision to inject arbitrary configuration options to the "hg clone" call (ie "--config").


3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28102)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when processing highly compressed data within the deserialize() function. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


4) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28849)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to credentials are shared via headers when following cross-domain redirects. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information.


5) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28863)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources while parsing a tar file. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


6) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-28176)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in the JSON Web Encryption (JWE) decryption interfaces. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


7) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27088)

The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A local privileged user can pass functions with very long names or complex default argument names into `function#copy` or `function#toStringTokens` and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


8) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-1597)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when using the "PreferQueryMode=SIMPLE" option. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
