Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Untrusted search path (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43616)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to usage of an untrusted search path in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Untrusted search path (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43576)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to usage of an untrusted search path in Microsoft Office. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43609)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
