SB2025011543 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Protection Mechanism Failure (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-21346)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient implementation of security measures in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and bypass implemented security restrictions.

2) Untrusted search path (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-21365)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of an untrusted search path in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
