This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow

EUVDB-ID: #VU108063

Risk: High

CVSSv4.0: 6.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Amber]

CVE-ID: CVE-2025-4096

CWE-ID: CWE-122 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted HTML content in HTML. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into opening it, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's repository.

Vulnerable software versions

Fedora: 9

chromium: before 136.0.7103.59-1.el9

2) Out-of-bounds read

EUVDB-ID: #VU108064

Risk: Medium

CVSSv4.0: 4.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]

CVE-ID: CVE-2025-4050

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to crash the browser.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the DevTools component in Google Chrome. A remote attacker can trick the victim into visiting a specially crafted web page, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and crash the browser.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's repository.
