SB2025120989 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62554)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to click a specially crafted link, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62557)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Microsoft Office. A remote attacker can trick a victim to click a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
