CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to division by zero in the damos_quota_score function in the mm/damon/lru_sort subsystem when processing an active_mem_bp parameter value greater than 10000 during DAMON_LRU_SORT startup. A local user can set a crafted module parameter value and enable the feature to cause a denial of service.
Exploitation requires write access to DAMON module parameters.
