Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to division by zero in the damos_quota_score function in the mm/damon/lru_sort subsystem when processing an active_mem_bp parameter value greater than 10000 during DAMON_LRU_SORT startup. A local user can set a crafted module parameter value and enable the feature to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires write access to DAMON module parameters.
