1) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-64640)

CWE-ID: CWE-285 - Improper Authorization

CVSSv4: 2.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose limited information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the register endpoint when processing user-supplied storage locations during table or view registration. A remote user can supply a caller-selected Iceberg metadata file location to disclose limited information.

Exploitation requires a deployment using S3 credential vending, and the server-side read occurs only if the catalog's underlying storage credentials can read an object outside the allowed storage locations.
