CWE-ID: CWE-772 - Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in amdgpu_cs_pass1() and amdgpu_cs_p1_user_fence() when processing a submit request containing multiple AMDGPU_CHUNK_ID_FENCE chunks. A local user can submit crafted command stream data with duplicate fence chunks to cause a denial of service.
The leaked buffer object reference can outlive handle close and process exit.
