Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in amdgpu_cs_pass1() and amdgpu_cs_p1_user_fence() when processing a submit request containing multiple AMDGPU_CHUNK_ID_FENCE chunks. A local user can submit crafted command stream data with duplicate fence chunks to cause a denial of service.

The leaked buffer object reference can outlive handle close and process exit.
