The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in tlclk_cleanup() in the tlclk driver when cleaning up the device while user-space processes are still interacting with it. A local user can keep the device in use during module cleanup to cause a denial of service.
The issue is associated with blocked readers in the wait queue and concurrent timer activity during cleanup.
Remediation
