Use-after-free in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-80622
Published: August 28, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in tlclk_cleanup() in the tlclk driver when cleaning up the device while user-space processes are still interacting with it. A local user can keep the device in use during module cleanup to cause a denial of service.
