The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper lock handling in xe_pt_svm_userptr_pre_commit() and related userptr invalidation paths when processing userptr operations with CONFIG_DRM_XE_USERPTR_INVAL_INJECT enabled. A local user can trigger a userptr invalidation path to cause a denial of service.

Only builds with CONFIG_DRM_XE_USERPTR_INVAL_INJECT enabled are affected.
