1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-80765)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 6.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in mousevsc_on_receive_device_info() in the Hyper-V HID driver when processing SYNTH_HID_INITIAL_DEVICE_INFO messages. A local privileged user can send a short initial device-info message with an oversized HID report descriptor length to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires control of the Hyper-V host or backend.
