Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in mousevsc_on_receive_device_info() in the Hyper-V HID driver when processing SYNTH_HID_INITIAL_DEVICE_INFO messages.
