1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98050)
CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')
CVSSv4: 7.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the mlxsw Spectrum PTP packet-finish ingress-delivery path when processing unmatched PTP entries concurrently with NAPI polling. A remote attacker can exploit the race condition to cause a denial of service.
Exploitation requires a transmit-timestamp timeout to produce an unmatched entry while the owning NAPI thread is polling on another CPU.
