1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-98136)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to read out-of-bounds memory.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in ntfs_attr_find_in_attrdef() when processing an NTFS volume with a $AttrDef table smaller than an attr_def entry. A local user can create a file on the mounted volume to read out-of-bounds memory.
